This help guide is for coat check attendants and managers who are using Chexology in combination with the VTAP Bluetooth reader to check coats and other items.
VTAP Reader
This is what the VTAP looks like.
If your bluetooth reader does not look like this, please find the correct reader guide here.
Connecting the VTAP reader for the first time
Make sure the reader is plugged in to power.
Open Chexology on your iPad.
Go to the Chexology Settings → Accessories screen.
Switch on Use Bluetooth Reader.
Allow Chexology to use Bluetooth if prompted by tapping OK.
In the Devices section, match the serial number of the reader you want to connect to and tap on it.
Tap on the reader you are trying to connect to. (VTAP readers will start with “VTAP”)
The VTAP reader will now display in the “My Devices” section and show as connected.
Connecting a VTAP reader to a different iPad
Go to Chexology App Settings → Accessories.
Tap the ⓘ for the device that you want to forget.
Tap “Forget This Device.”
Connect to the other iPad as explained in the previous section.
