Who is this help guide for?

This help guide is for owners, managers, marketing personnel, or administrators responsible for guest messaging.

 

Chexology allows you to send confirmation receipts and outstanding messages to guests when items are left behind. These messages can be personalized to reflect your company’s brand, serving as both the first and last touchpoint with your guests—and can even include a call to action.

Use this help guide and its examples when crafting your messages to ensure they fit within the character limits. Text message rates are determined by your plan and country. For detailed pricing information, please reach out to Customer Support.


Message types

There are three different kinds of texts a guest can receive:

  • Paperless claim ticket - when guests drop off their items.
  • Return confirmation - when guests pick up their items.
  • Outstanding alert - when guests forget to pick up their items at the end of the event. These messages normally include retrieval instructions.

ChexPass

If you choose to send the arrival text (paperless claim ticket), you can also choose to enable “ChexPass” at no extra charge.

This will send the guest a link to add a pass to their Apple or Google wallet to replace the phone number screen with a contactless tap.

High ChexPass participation can dramatically speed up check-in/check-out times, and guests will only have to download a ChexPass once to use it whenever checking items in or out.
