Guest info, items, and actions all in one easy to use screen!

Who is this help guide for?

This help guide is for bell team leads and members that are using the Chexology app to view and edit guest details.

 

Guest Details update

Starting with Chexology 1.2.21, the Customer Details screen is now called Guest Details and contains several improvements:

  • It is easier to read.
  • It is more intuitive.
  • It allows you to work with guest items and actions more quickly and easily.

Guest Details Overview

Guest Details allows you to view and edit important information about guests such as notes, items, and actions.

To open the Guest Details screen:

  1. Search for a guest by Phone/PIN, Tag, or Other from the home screen .
  2. Tap the row showing that guest's summary information.

When you open the Guest Details you will see the guest's information on the top half of the screen and the Items tab on the bottom half. In the Items tab, you can modify items, view action details for specific items, and add more items.

The Actions tab shows all actions that are associated with the guest you are viewing and allows you to create new actions by tapping Add Action.


Modifying, Queueing, and Returning Items

At the bottom of the guest details screen there are 3 options, Modify, Queue, and Return which are enabled depending on the item selected.

Modify

The Modify option allows you to mark items as Outstanding or Edit Storage for the selected item. 

Pro Tip: You can select multiple items and mark them as outstanding or edit their storage all at once.

Queue

Tapping Queue will open the Create Action screen. See Creating your own actions for more details.

Return

The Return option returns any item that is selected. 


Adding Items

Adding items in the Guest Details screen is as simple as tapping Add Item in the Items tab.

Then continue adding items as normal. See How to tag items for more details.


Items tab

The Items tab in the Guest Details screen shows all tagged items related to a guest. If an item or tag has actions associated with it, you will see the number of actions and a down facing arrowhead “⌄” on the bottom of the item box.

  1. Tap the “⌄” arrowhead to see what type of action it is and who it is assigned to.

     
  2. You can tap View Action to go to the Action Details screen.

  3. Tap “⌃” to hide the item's action information.

Actions tab

The Actions tab in the Guest Details screen allows you to work with all actions related to the guest you searched, including actions that are not tied to specific items such as Deliver actions for food, flowers, pickup requests, etc.

  1. In the example below, you can quickly see that there are two (2) actions for this guest. The first is a storage action for luggage tag 244 and the second is a Deliver action.
  2. You can tap on each box to view the Action Details if needed. See step 3 of Starting an action for more information.
  3. Tap the action trigger to perform the next step in the action such as Start, Finish, Store, Return, etc.

Adding Actions in the Actions tab

If you need to add an action for a guest:

  1. Tap Add Action.


    Or tap Create Action if there aren't any actions for this guest.

     
  2. Choose whether the action is an item based Return or a non-item based Bell Request.
  3. Then, continue as a normal action. See Creating your own actions for more information.
